The Spa Istibanja is located 8 km west of Kočani. These springs have been
exploited as a health-spa since ancient times. The water contains
hydro-carbonate sodium m- hyper thermal with a temperature of 650C,
traces of sulfur and poor radioactivity.
The Department for physical medicine
and rehabilitation was established in 1970, for the purpose of treating diseases
of the digestive organs (gastritis, ulcer), rheumatic diseases, urinary
diseases, gynecological diseases, and physical conditions after the injury of
bones and joints. Due to the particularly rich chemical composition of the
water, this spa-resort possesses 50 beds in the 4th category of
accommodation. |
