Staro Selo is a village located in
the north-western part of the Republic of Macedonia, on the
Šar Planina (Šar
Mountain), in the upper Polog
plain, some 20 km from the nearby city of
Tetovo. It's settled on
an altitude of some 800-900 meters above the sea level. The
road to the Ljuboten peak (2,498 meters) passes through this
mountainous village. The population
density of this village is rare, around 150 (Macedonians) people live in
it. Almost all the locals are farmers, and they do
cattle-breeding and agriculture.
